We went out to JCW'S for lunch before we dropped Layton off. There was another missionary there with his family as well. We had finished and had about 45 minutes before he was scheduled to be there but I wasn't about to let him go any sooner than I had to so we went to the fields across from the MTC.
Taking pictures by the Provo temple before we went to lunch.
After lunch we went back to the fields by the MTC to walk around and "prolong" the process as Derek put it :) Fun and sad to see these two walk together one last time talking.
Laughing and quoting movies lifted everyones spirits.
There was even an acorn war...surprise, surprise.
In the end when we drove up to the curb, Layton gave everyone a hug and saved me for last. He never shed a tear which made it easier to let him go.....knowing he was excited for this adventure. When the greeter asked him if he was ready he simply said, "Heck ya, let's start this new life". And that was goodbye.
