Well this week was a crazy! Transfers were this week and a
bunch of people got moved around but not me and Elder Moon, we are
sticking around for another one! This will be the longest time that i
have been with a companion! Haha three transfers! It will be great
So
i totally forgot my planner at home for this past week so i will just
give you what i can remember, we had a pretty tough week, we had a lot
of people cancel on us because it is Apple Blossom, for those of you who
are not from Washington let me explain, Apple Blossom is a week long
celebration here in Wenatchee celebrating the blossoming of the apple
trees, it is in the first week of may and the whole week there are
things to do and events happening every night. Then on Saturday
they have a HUGE 4 hour long parade in the center of the city and so
every thing shuts down so that was lame, we did something last year for
it but this year we didn't do anything, they asked me about it last year
and nothing really productive came from it so we decided to not have
missionaries go to the parade. But we were able to meet with a couple of
really cool families. The Silva's area family that know the Church
pretty well, they have a lot of friends that are LDS. She just recently
lost her mom and this week was crazy, we went over to have a lesson and
she told us that her dad went to the hospital for seizures and then her
uncle was discovered in his bedroom unconscious, so they rushed him to
the hospital and he was on life support and her cousins were coming down
to see him but when they came down they were probably going to pull the
plug. It was pretty sad to see here because she just kept thinking of
her mothers death. So we taught her about the power of prayer and
relying of the Lord. It was a awesome lesson! Then we had a bunch of
other lessons with some of our other investigators, but a lot of them
were doorstep lessons, people seemed to either be coming or going
somewhere. So that was lame but we had a pretty good week.
Love ya and hope you have a great week!
Elder Bethea
